Özet

This study covers a case study on magnetic field measurements in a university campus area in Izmir, Turkey. A power transmission line of 154 kV, 50 Hz has previously been located inside of this area. In this study, it is aimed to determine the health risk of this transmission line in its vicinity. Measurements are realized using a calibrated Gauss-meter in multiple locations in different times. These measurements give people an idea about the safety of settling around power transmission lines. Safe distance limits are determined according to the international standards.
