Özet

Considering the competition in today’s world, the power of a business does not depend on just their own performance, every single units’ performance in a supply chain directly effects the business’ success. Therefore, the selection of suppliers in a supply chain and the evaluation of them are critical activities that provide cost benefits, product quality and help to improve customer satisfaction. Purchasing is an important element of a business’ organization and it is the initial step of production. The paper provides a framework for the importance of logistics in purchasing and informs about the real life purchasing operations of the companies. This study also gives an extensive field research and asserts the main considerations of purchasing strategies.
