Özet

In this paper we report the experimental measurements of Vp-Vs on Triassic marble samples that are Mug la White and Aubergine from Mug la region. The measurements of P-S wave velocities were performed at room temperature and high confining pressure up to 300 MPa in a heard type pressure vessel at ETH Zurich using the pulse transmission technique on 26 mm diameter cores. The white Mug la marble was isotropic and displayed Vp of 6.86 km/s and Vs of 4.34 km/s at 300 MPa confining pressure. The Aubergine marble from Mug la displayed and orthormbic seismic anisotropy of about 3.4 %, with maximum Vp of 6.94 km/s parallel to the mineral lineation and minimum Vp of 6.71 km/s normal to foliation at the maximum confining pressure.
