Özet

Nazir Ibrahim Gulshani is not only a poet who has ability of poetship but also a sufi and a scientist. He is a sufi because of his membership of Gulshani tariqa and was educated by Hasan Sezai Gulshani (d. 1151 / 1738) in this tariqa. He also performed the office of judge in some Balkan cities at the same time and he has a Divan that contains his poems. Thus his influence on the Ottoman social and cultural life is very important in the eighteenth century. Nazir Ibrahim Gulshani has written nearly thirty works throughout his eighty years of life. But his works are not well-known and his identity is not recognized. The reasons why his works are not well-known enough has been explained in the introduction of the article. One of his works is Eddatu Ahadeeth (Iddetil Ehadis) that is available in the library of Gazi Husrev Begova in Saraybosna. This work is a different kind of Forty Hadith literature in Turkish and it has not any other copy in the libraries. This work was confused with his work titled Risale-i Ehadis-i Erbain-i Sulasiyye and registered in this library incorrectly under the name of Iddetu ehadis as if it was different work. We believe that this work is Risale-i Ehadis-i Erbain-i Sulasiyye itself and not another work of his.
