Abstract

Purpose: Gamma spectrometer systems are complex instruments, and the quality of the numerical results they provide strongly depends on their reliable calibration. In this study, it was aimed to determine the full-energy peak efficiencies of a 40% p-type High Purity Germanium (HPGe) detector for point source, Marinelli beaker, and cylindrical container geometries in the 200-1500 keV energy range.
