Occupational diseases are one of the main public health problems globally. Occupational diseases prevent many diseases and increase the burden of diseases for countries. In order to prevent occupational diseases, through the boards/commissions in all institutions; It is important to provide full and complete occupational health and safety services. These services include periodic examinations, occupational health and safety training and consultancy, reporting. However, workers and employers have difficulties in diagnosing, monitoring and recognizing and implementing legal obligations. The aim of this review is to examine the dimensions of occupational disease and the role of occupational health nursing in the prevention of occupational diseases, as well as to raise awareness of occupational diseases in employees and t o contribute to the understanding of what needs to be done within the framework of policies.
