Özet

Since the most popular project management methods such as Critical Path Method (CPM) and Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) are limited in project representation and restricted in their application, we concerned the modeling and analyzing of an LNG (liquefied natural gas) storage tank project using integrated method which comprises fuzzy rule based systems and Petri Nets (PNs) in this study. Activity times may be generally precise in most real life projects, thus the expression of these precise times with crisp logic may not be effective. Because of these limitations, it would be more appropriate to use fuzzy rule based systems for providing the activity durations for using in PNs as transition firing times. So, we simulated the rule based system for critical activities in MATLAB to provide the activity times. In this case, the factors which have not been taken into account in the PERT technique can be considered while determining the activity times. Reachability trees generated from both forward and backward token games are used to calculate the critical path and activity slacks in the analyzing phase of the construction project network. The purpose of this study is overcoming the uncertainty regarding to activity durations using fuzzy theory.
