Özet

Background: This study aimed to translate the Late-Life Function and Disability Instrument (LLFDI) into Turkish (LLFDI-Tr) and to evaluate its validity and reliability in community-dwelling Turkish-speaking older adults. Methods: This study included 232 older adults. For test–retest reliability, the scale was first administered to volunteers and then re-administered to the same individuals 15–20 d later. For internal consistency, correlations with the Barthel Index (BI) and the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB) were assessed. Results: The mean age of the participants was 70.31 ± 5.59 years. The internal consistency of the LLFDI results from the first and second administrations demonstrated high reliability (p < 0.05). Statistical analyses performed to assess validity showed statistically significant correlations between the test and retest results (p < 0.05). Conclusions: The LLFDI-Tr demonstrated acceptable validity and reliability.
