Abstract

In this research, MnO2-GO nanocomposite is

synthesized under laboratory conditions and it was

to take the Malachite Green (MG) dye-from a raw

paper industry wastewater. XRD, HR-TEM and FTIR

analysis showed that the produced MnO2 peak

located belong to GO and this is attributed to 2Ө=10

au. FT-IR analysis showed that MnO2-GO

nanocomposite has some oxygenated and stretching

groups like Mn–O, O–H, C=C, C–O–C. The

maximum MG adsorption capacity was detected to

be 90% with an at optimum adsorption time of 18

min at a MG dye concentration of 18 mg/L with 10

mg/L MnO2-GO nanocomposite. The maximum

sorption loading was recorded as 3.8 mg/g at 18

mg/L Malachite Green dose at a temperature of 21

ºC. Among the kinetic applied to the adsorption data

it was found that the MG was adsorbed to MnO2-GO

nanoparticle according to Intra-particle diffusion

model with q=11.01 mg/g, and k1=0.085 1/min.
