Abstract

Three palladium(II) complexes with an ONO -tridentate enamine ligand were synthesized by reacting the glycine derivative ligand with palladium(II) acetate in the presence of selected ancillary ligands. The structures of the Pd (II) complexes were determined through melting point, C, H, N elemental analysis, ATR-FTIR, and NMR. Additionally, the molecular structures of two complexes were confirmed using single-crystal X-ray crystallography studies, revealing that the ligand coordinates to palladium(II) via ONO -chelation, resulting in a square planar geometry around the metal center. Catalytic activities of these compounds were assessed in the SuzukiMiyaura cross-coupling reaction of phenylboronic acid with the different aryl halides.
