Özet

In this research, it is aimed to determine effects of teaching application, which is based on writing activities, on students' learning at a high school math class. The samples of this qualitative research consist of 15 students studying at the level of 9th grade at a general high school. The data consist of two different writing activities of the students which were made to be written by first researcher in her own math class for a 3 months period in spring term. These writing activities are journal writing and expository writing. In the research, the students were made to be written 5 journal and 5 expository writing activities and after that analysis of writing activities were carried out according to the qualitative research methods. As a result, according to the findings, it was seen that writing activities have positive effect on students' learning.
