Özet

This study provides a comparative study of the accelerated mortar bar (ASTM C1260-14 and ASTM C1567-13) and RILEM AAR-4 test methods. They were used to evaluate the alkali-silica reaction (ASR) mitigation potential of supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) and lithium salts. For this purpose, 96 mixtures with two different reactive aggregates were prepared and analyzed by the accelerated mortar bar test (AMBT) and RILEM AAR-4 method. The effect of steam curing was also determined. Despite the factors such as severe test conditions of the AMBT and alkali leaching challenge in the AAR-4, in some cases, meaningful relations were observed between these accelerated test methods.
