Eğitim araştırmaları alanında sürdürülebilir kalkınma bir süredir ilgi odağı konumundadır. Sürdürülebilir kalkınma konsepti sosyal, ekonomik ve çevresel değişkenler ile ilgilenmektedir. Bu konunun Türkiye'deki tez araştırmalarındaki yaygınlığını ve bibliyometrik istatistiklerini ortaya çıkarmak amacıyla yapılan bu bibliyometrik analizde, Türkiye'de Yükseköğretim Kurulu (YÖK) arşivinde yayınlanan yüksek lisans ve doktora tezleri "sürdürülebilir kalkınma" anahtar kelimesi kullanılarak incelenmiştir. İlgili tezleri bulmak için bu anahtar kelime, Türkçe ve İngilizce olarak aratılmıştır ve sonuç olarak 2010 ve 2025 yıllarını kapsayan 87 kayıt bulunmuştur. Bu tezler türleri (yüksek lisans veya doktora), yazıldıkları üniversite, yayınlanma yılları, ve akademik programları kapsamında incelenmiştir. Bu bibliyometrik analizin sonuçlarına göre tez sayılarının 2019 yılına kadar arttığını, 3 yıl boyunca bu sayının azaldığını, ardından 2023 yılında artarak 2024 yılında tepe noktasına ulaştığı görülmektedir. Bu tezlerin çoğunluğunun alanı bilim eğitimi iken, matematik ve bilim eğitimi ikinci sırada olmak üzere, sosyal bilimler eğitimi ve okul öncesi eğitim üçüncü sırada takip ettiği görülmektedir. Bilim eğitimi ilk sırada 20 tez içermekteyken, İngilizce öğretmenliği alanında 3 tez görülmektedir. Çeşitli eğitim alanlarında temsil edilmekteyken, birçok alanda sürdürülebilir kalkınma konusunda sadece bir tez bulunmaktadır. Hacettepe Üniversitesi (n = 5) üçüncü sırada, Gazi Üniversitesi (n = 5) ikinci sırada olmak üzere, Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi en yüksek sayıda tezi üretmiştir (n = 13). Bu çalışmanın sonuçları, sürdürülebilir kalkınma konusuna olan ilginin arttığını göstermekte ve bu konuda çalışan araştırmacıları veya öğrencileri destekleme anlamında istatistiksel bulgular içermektedir. The topic of sustainable development has been a focus of interest in the field of educational research. Sustainable development as a concept is concerned with the social, economic, and environmental variables. To find out the prevalence and bibliometric statistics of the topic in thesis research in Türkiye, this bibliometric analysis aimed to examine master’s and PhD theses published in the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) archive in Türkiye, using the keyword “sustainable development.” The keyword was searched in both English and Turkish to identify relevant theses, resulting in a total of 87 entries spanning from 2010 to 2025. These theses were analyzed in terms of their type (master’s or PhD), the university at which they were written, the year of publication, and their academic program. The results of the bibliometric analysis show that the number of theses increased until 2019, declined for three years, and then increased again in 2023, reaching a peak in 2024. The majority of the theses focused on science education, with mathematics and science education ranked second, followed by social studies education and preschool education. English language education had three theses, while science education, which ranked first, had 20. While various educational subjects and specializations were represented, many fields had only a single thesis on sustainable development. Middle East Technical University produced the highest number of theses (n = 13), followed by Gazi University (n = 6) and Hacettepe University (n = 5). The results of the study showcase increased interest in the subject of sustainable development and include statistical findings that may support researchers or students working on this topic. These findings help identify which areas and institutions have given the topic of sustainable development the most academic attention over the years
