This study aims to identify the most efficient transshipment port among Eastern Mediterranean ports using both qualitative and quantitative methods. The ports examined include Aliaga Port, Ambarli Port, Mersin Port, Piraeus Port, and Port Said, all located in the Eastern Mediterranean region. First, a literature review was conducted to examine previous research on port selection. The criteria and research methods used in the selection of maritime container transshipment ports were identified from the reviewed studies. A group of twelve individuals, including shippers, freight forwarders, liner shipping operators, and port operators, were surveyed to determine the relative importance of each criterion. The results of the surveys were analyzed using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine the weight of each criterion. In the final part of the research, the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method was applied to identify the most ideal port for maritime container transshipment activities in the Eastern Mediterranean.
