Amaç: Alerji öyküsü nedeniyle çok sayıdahastanın diş tedavisi gecikebilmektedir. Buçalışmanın amacı, Ege Üniversitesi Diş hekimliğiFakültesi Ağız Diş ve Çene Cerrahisi AnabilimDalına başvurup alerji öyküsü nedeniyle alerjikonsultasyonu istenen hastaların alerji testsonuçlarını ve bu sonuca göre lokal anestezi altındayapılan tedavilerini retrospektif olarakaraştırmaktır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çalışmada dişhekimliğinde alerji öyküsü bulunması nedeni ilealerji konsultasyonu istenen 30 hastanın arşivnotları retrospektif olarak incelendi. Kendilerindeve/veya ailelerinde alerji öyküsü varlığı, daha öncediş çekimi yapılıp yapılmadığı, test sonuçları veönerilen lokal anestezik ile yapılan diş çekimisonrası alerji gelişip gelişmediği kaydedildi. Bulgular: Alerji konsültasyonu istenen 30olgunun 6sında (%20), değerlendiren konsultanhekimin önerisiyle test yapılmamıştı. 24 olgunun12sinde (%50) önceki diş çekimi sonrası gelişenalerji öyküsü tesbit edildi. Test yapılan 24 hastadansadece 1inde (%4,1) pozitif sonuç saptandı. Sonuç: Diş tedavilerinden önce tıbbi anamnezayrıntılı olarak alınmalı, alerji şüphesi varlığındagerekli konsultasyon yapılmalı ve riskli hastalardauygun tedbirler alınarak tedaviye başlanmalıdır.
Objectives: Dental treatment of many patientsis delayed owing to a positive history of allergicreactions. The aim of this study is to retrospectivelyinvestigate the results of local anaesthetic allergytests of the patients, who were sent for allergyconsultation due to their history of allergicreactions, and the following dental treatmentscarried out under local anaesthesia in theDepartment of Oral Surgery, School of Dentistry,Ege University Materials and Methods: In this study, casenotes of 30 patients who were sent for allergyconsultation due to their history of allergicreactions were retrospectively investigated. Historyof allergic reactions, tooth removal, test results, andallergic reactions following the administration ofthe suggested local anaesthetic were noted. Results: The consultant doctor regarded testingunnecessary for 6 (20%) of the patients. Twelve(50%) of the 24 patients, had history of allergicreactions associated with tooth removal. Of the 24patients tested, only 1 (4.1%) patient had a positiveresult. Conclusions: A detailed medical history shouldbe taken before commencing any dental treatment.If allergic reactions are expected, the appropriateconsultation should be done, and patients at riskshould be treated after taking the appropriatemeasures.
