Abstract

This paper describes participation of Dokuz Eylül University to Wikipedia MM task at Image CLEF 2009. This year we concentrated on two main topics: First is about expansion of native document, term phrase selection and query expansion processes which is based on Word Net, WSD and Word Net similarity functions. The second is a new reranking approach with Boolean retrieval and C3M based clustering. Experimentation shows that reranking generated the best MAP and precision results among all participants in Wikipedia MM 2009 task.
