subject and to remedy the current gap the current paper aims to reveal the determinants
of user experience which in turn may lead to the intention of downloading and
paying for a mindfulness-based mobile application. Holding that the topic in
terms of user experience is an emerging body of literature it requires an
in-depth investigation thus, the nature of the research question entails
exploratory research. Data is collected via focus group studies conducted on
January 2021. According to the results of the content analysis, five 3rd
order themes have been revelead: the expected attributes from a mindfulness mobile
application, dissatisfactory attributes of a mindfulness mobile application, motivation
criteria for non-users, motivation criteria for users, and determinants of
downloading a mindfulness mobile application. This study is expected to
contribute to the literature which lacks exploratory studies to discover the
factors that enhance the user experience regarding mindfulness-based mobile applications.
