Özet

AlSi10Mg parts produced by selective laser melting (SLM) require post-processing owing to high, non-uniform as-built surface roughness. This study examined the effects of hot isostatic pressing (HIP) before turning and roller burnishing after turning on the surface profile. Six cylindrical specimens, each 7.4 mm in final diameter and 50 mm long, were prepared for surface-profile measurements. Two specimens were assigned to each group: T, turned; HIP-T, turned after HIP; and T-RB, roller-burnished after turning. To standardize the variable as-built surface, whose Ra was approximately 16 µm, all specimens underwent two roughing passes and one finishing pass at a constant cutting speed of 35 m/min. HIP conditions were 500 °C, 100 MPa, and 2 h, whereas roller burnishing was performed at 100 N, 1000 rpm, and 0.03 mm/rev in one pass. Five axial profiles per specimen were measured at different circumferential positions, yielding 10 profiles per group for calculation of mean Ra, Rz, Rsk, and Rku values. Compared with T, Ra in HIP-T changed from 0.63 to 0.61 µm, while Rz decreased by 11.8%, from 4.06 to 3.58 µm; Rsk increased from −0.01 to 0.13, and Rku decreased from 2.90 to 2.64. In T-RB, Ra and Rz decreased by 71.4% and 68.7%, respectively, reaching 0.18 and 1.27 µm; Rsk decreased to −0.12, while Rku increased to 3.27. In HIP-T, the slightly positive Rsk and Rku below 3 indicated a flatter surface-height distribution despite limited changes in amplitude parameters. Plastic deformation during roller burnishing suppressed surface peaks, producing a low-amplitude, slightly valley-dominated profile. Together, Rsk and Rku suggested that pronounced local valleys were retained on the flattened surface. Overall, HIP pretreatment caused limited changes in the amplitude parameters of the post-turning surface profile but could alter its statistical distribution parameters; roller burnishing affected both amplitude and statistical distribution parameters.
