Özet

Self-image is a cognitive generalisation about the self, which mostly includes self-descriptions of neutral values. It is regarded that self-image is constituted from five subdimensions.

The purpose of this paper is to determine the level of prospective teachers’ family life and adjustment self-images which are two subscales of the Self-image Questionaire. This study is conducted in academic year of 2007-2008 among prospective teachers studying various subjects at University of Dokuz Eylul, Faculty of Education Buca. The study sample consists of 6000 prospective teachers, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4 th grade of the faculty and matched on the basis of age, sex, place of residence that is total field under survey. The data is collected through Offer Self Image Questionnaire (OSIQ) which is adapted to Turkish Culture by Inanc, 1990. The results will be present in colloquium.
