Özet

Urban bus transportation is the most frequently used public transportation mode in Turkey. The reliability of urban bus system is mostly related with the reghlarity of travel times and the service provided to passengers at bus stops. The increasing demand of bus transit which can be provided by high reliability, can he the one of the most efficient method for preventing traffic jams by decreasing private cur use. In this study, passenger getting on and off times ore predicted by using site observations urid smart curd duta used ut the public transportation systems in izmir. As a result of the analysis, the service times are found us 4.2.3 seconds for getting on and 1,0 seconds for getting off Besides, it is concluded that the differences between the getting on and off passenger numbers ut stop inc reuse the dwell time in a parabolic function form.
