This scientific event, the 14th in a series, is a legacy of the rich academic tradition of the Faculty of Economic Sciences from Valahia University of Targoviste, Romania. The conference's name has evolved in sync with the new challenges faced by the Romanian economy and the international context. The first six editions (1994 – 2004) focused on post-communist changes and efforts to join the EU, titled “Management of transition”. Under “European Spaces” (2012, 2014), the following two editions were dedicated to the implications of Romania’s integration into the EU and the EU expansion. The current name, “Global Interferences of Knowledge Society”, chosen to start in 2016, has led to the organization of five other successful conferences (2016, 2018, 2021, 2023, and 2024).
