Abstract:

With the fourth industrial revolution, more and more operators are expected to turn to digital solutions. They are investing in this area in order to survive on modern competitive conditions. Small-scale and newly established businesses are concerned about not being able to return with refraining from turning to large commercial software systems. In addition, large commercial packaged software is able to carry more than necessary for small businesses. In order to remove these two risks, open source and low cost software systems in production management and resource planning systems come to the forefront. While economic benefits can be seen from the point of view of the business, it seems to be advantageous in adaptation and adaptation when viewed from the perspective of the developer. In this direction, Smart Manufacturing Management System which is software that can be applied as open source in the Aegean Region and its vicinity has been developed and adapted. In terms of business and developer in the research, the risks and advantages of open source systems will be addressed.
