To the best of our knowledge, published literature describing different cutaneous manifestations in patients with multiple myeloma (MM) is limited. Skin conditions, which appear as a rare extramedullary finding, generally occur in approximately 1% of the patients with relapsed or progressive MM. Therefore, cutaneous manifestations accompanying MM indicate a poor prognosis, with significantly reduced overall survival and progression-free survival rates. However, although rare, they may also present as the first manifestation of MM. Nevertheless, cutaneous findings in MM patients are probably overlooked and unrecognized because of their different clinical and histological presentations. Both the rarity of specific cutaneous involvement and occurrence of many distinct nonspecific dermatoses in MM, create a difficulty for dermatologists to suspect MM and in diagnosing MM-related skin lesions. Therefore, increasing recognition of these rare specific and nonspecific cutaneous manifestations of MM is important for accurate and urgent management
