The time from identifying a need in the market to transforming that need into a product and reaching the customer is a powerful factor for gaining a competitive advantage. Shortening this time provides an advantage to the business by meeting the need before competitors, while lengthening the time may lead to a more challenging competition as competitors have the opportunity to share the market. In today’s world where many companies focus on production efficiency, conducting improvement activities in the product development process is crucial to AQ1 achieve a competitive advantage. The quality of the product presented to the customer, its ability to meet customer requirements, and customer satisfaction are directly related to the speed of delivery and production quality with equal importance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the newproduct design process of a company that manufactures reservoirs in order to shorten and improve the product development process to a level that provides a competitive advantage against competitors. The current state of the process is mapped and examined using value stream mapping technique based on the information obtained during the data collection process.
